While the originals date back to the 16th-century Safavid courts the 'Indo' variety is crafted today in Indian weaving hubs like Jaipur and Bhadohi. They are widely regarded as some of the most classic looking rugs in the world bringing a sense of royal history into modern homes. Most Indo-Kashan rugs follow the famous 'Medallion and Corner' (or Book-cover like) layout.
